Job description

Environment Engineer (QRA)

Location: all of Poland

Responsibilities:

• Determine the risk associated with using, handling, transporting, and storing dangerous chemical substances;
• Identify suitable areas for development based on their proximity to industrial facilities by conducting a QRA;
• Evaluate the consequences of each loss of containment scenario. This involves considering both the effects (such as fire, explosion, or toxic release) and the resulting damage;
• Quantify the likelihood of each loss of containment scenario occurring. This step involves analyzing data related to failure frequencies, vulnerability, local weather conditions, terrain, and potential population distribution;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QRA findings into project planning and decision-making processes.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Safety Science, or a related field;
• Familiar with RISKCURVES software or other risk assessment tools;
• Proven experience in conducting quantitative risk assessments. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 2 years to over 10 years of relevant experience;
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to risk assessment;
• Knowledge of safety and risk management practices in industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, manufacturing or construction;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
