Job description

QGIS Specialist

Location: all of Poland

Responsibilities:

• You will assist in creating GIS drawings for large Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects, smaller contamination investigations and ad hoc tasks;
• You will help develop new standards and optimize our GIS work to make it more efficient, ensuring that templates and other outputs are consistent and visually appealing.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field;
• Experience in environmental consulting or a related field, with a focus on QGIS (including advanced features and plugins);
• Strong skills in performing spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks;
• Experience with various spatial data formats and projections;
• Ability to design and produce high-quality maps and visualizations;
• Knowledge of cartographic principles and best practices;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automating tasks in QGIS;
• Familiarity with SQL for querying spatial databases;
• Knowledge of integrating QGIS with other GIS software like ArcGIS and MAPinfo.
