It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the geotechnical design process for various projects, including the creation of detailed design drawings, execution descriptions, and control reports;
  • Conduct advanced geotechnical analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) software, focusing on soil-structure interaction and advanced material models;
  • Design geotechnical structures such as pile foundations, secant pile walls, sheet piles, slope stability solutions, and ground anchors;
  • Oversee geotechnical aspects of construction, including on-site supervision and quality control of ground anchors, piles, and other geotechnical elements;
  • Coordinate with project teams, including engineers from other disciplines, to ensure an integrated approach to project design and execution;
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members;
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and bids, and support business development activities when required;
  • Manage project resources, schedules, and budgets to deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines and costs.

What type of projects will you work with:
Main clients are large public infrastructure clients and the leading contractors. We work on geotechnical investigations for all sorts of projects, building foundations design, energy infrastructure design, construction pit design, railway design, road design, port design.

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Hydrogeology field;
  • 10-15 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering. Previous expertise in hydrogeological engineering is optional;
  • Proficiency in software such as Plaxis / Slope/W / ABAQUS / LPILE / Optum CE / AutoCAD;
  • In-depth knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM), in advanced material models and soil-structure interaction;
  • Experience with soil parameter evaluations, especially through advanced laboratory testing, such as oedometer tests (consolidation tests) and triaxial tests;
  • Strong experience in the design and project engineering of geotechnical structures, such as pile foundations, secant pile walls, sheet piles, slope stability, and ground anchors;
  • Expertise in construction supervision, including inspection and verification of ground anchors and pile tests;
  • Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Nice to have: hydrogeological assessments and analysis (including MODFLOW), covering drawdown calculations, soil water flow modeling, and the specification and monitoring of groundwater lowering systems.
