Job description

Geotechnical Engineer (Hydrogeology)

Location: all of Poland

What type of projects you work with:
  • Geotechnical investigations for all sorts of projects;
  • Building foundations design;
  • Energy infrastructure design;
  • Construction pit design;
  • Railway, roads, port design.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the geotechnical design process for various projects, including the creation of detailed design drawings, execution descriptions, and control reports;
  • Perform hydrogeological assessments, including calculations for groundwater drawdowns and soil water flow modeling, as well as specification of monitoring of groundwater lowering systems;
  • Conduct advanced geotechnical analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) software, focusing on soil-structure interaction and advanced material models;
  • Design geotechnical structures such as pile foundations, secant pile walls, sheet piles, slope stability solutions, and ground anchors;
  • Oversee geotechnical aspects of construction, including on-site supervision and quality control of ground anchors, piles, and other geotechnical elements;
  • Coordinate with project teams, including engineers from other disciplines, to ensure an integrated approach to project design and execution.
Our requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field;
  • Professional experience in geotechnical or hydrogeological engineering. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 5 years to over 10 years of relevant expertise;
  • Proficiency in software such as MODFLOW / Plaxis / Slope/W / ABAQUS / LPILE / Optum CE / AutoCAD;
  • In-depth knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM), in advanced material models and soil-structure interaction;
  • Proven track record in hydrogeological analysis, including calculating drawdowns and soil water flows, as well as specification of monitoring of groundwater lowering systems;
  • Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken);
  • Good to have: BIM, GIS, programming languages (e.g., Python).
