Railway Design Engineer
Location: all of Poland
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
- Professional experience in Railway/Lightrail/Tramway planning and alignment design. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 3 years to over 10 years of relevant expertise;
- Software: Bentley Microstation / Bentley PowerRail / Open Rail Design / RailTrack / PowerRail Design / AutoCAD / Civil 3D;
- Ability to adapt to other surrounding things like roads, existing buildings/facilities, ducting, how the existing ground/geology looks like, piping etc.
- Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:
- Perform design work (drawings, models) and perform review of own and others work;
- Produce results in the forms of technical plan descriptions, models, and drawings;
- Create the content of the maps that show and clarify what areas are needed to be able to build the new railway – not only the railway itself;
- Working on railway design assignments such as alignment design, and template design, including ducting of tracks, yards, L Sections, cross sections.
What type of projects you work with:
Projects with a variety of sizes, both larger and smaller. The main client is the Swedish Transport Administration as an end-user/client but sometimes it is also other public clients (such as municipalities) and contractors. In projects in the early stages, the documents are ground for preliminary design and railway planning documents, as part of the process of claiming land areas for new railway stretches.
