The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Bridge Engineer (Tunnel)

Responsibilities:

• Design of tunnels, including drilled tunnels, cut-and-cover tunnels, and underground structures (e.g., concrete culverts);
• Preparation of technical calculations, reports, and design documentation;
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers;
• Review of design drawings and technical specifications;
• Application of industry standards and best practices in tunnel and underground structure design.

What type of projects will you work with:

Infrastructure projects, climate adaptation projects (tunnel and overflow structures for flooding).

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tunnel and underground structure design;
• Experience in detailed, structural design of reinforced concrete, preferably covering both new structures and remodeling of existing bridges;
• Practical knowledge of Mathcad / Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis / Plaxis software;
• Strong understanding of geotechnical and structural engineering principles;
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Nice to have: Grasshopper, Tekla and Microstation.
