It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess industrial processes, material flows, emissions, waste, chemicals, and environmental impacts;
  • Prepare and review environmental permit applications and supporting documentation, and dialogue with environmental authorities;
  • Conduct environmental compliance reviews, audits, due diligence, site assessments, and environmental investigations;
  • Assess air emissions, water discharges, industrial wastewater, waste streams, chemicals, noise, and risks to soil and groundwater;
  • Develop and review environmental monitoring programs, interpret monitoring and laboratory data, and identify compliance gaps or improvement opportunities;
  • Evaluate BAT requirements and relevant BREF documents and support their implementation;
  • Participate in site visits, industrial facility assessments, and technical investigations;
  • Develop practical environmental recommendations and action plans based on technical findings;
  • Coordinate contributions from specialists in air, water, noise, waste, soil, groundwater, and environmental chemistry;
  • Prepare technical reports, environmental documentation, proposals, and presentations, and support project management, quality assurance, and development of industrial environmental services.

What type of projects will you work with
The team is based in Denmark and works closely with multidisciplinary environmental specialists. Main clients include manufacturing and process industries, chemical and pharmaceutical companies, food-production companies, energy and utility companies, waste-management and recycling facilities, industrial parks, and public authorities. Projects include:

  • Environmental permitting and assessments for industrial facilities, including production changes and expansions;
  • Environmental compliance, audits, due diligence, and site assessments;
  • Assessment of air emissions, wastewater, waste, chemicals, noise, soil, and groundwater;
  • BAT/BREF assessments and environmental monitoring programs;
  • Environmental management, resource efficiency, sustainability, and improvement projects.

Our requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Process, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field;
  • 7+ years of relevant professional background in industrial environmental management, permitting, compliance, or engineering;
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and their potential environmental impacts, with a proven track record in assessing industrial facilities, production processes, and plant modifications or expansions;
  • Solid expertise in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and environmental documentation for environmental authorities;
  • Practical background in assessing emissions to air and water, wastewater, waste streams, chemicals, noise, and risks to soil and groundwater;
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring and ability to interpret laboratory, analytical, and environmental data;
  • Track record in environmental compliance reviews, audits, due diligence, or industrial site assessments;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel proficiency, including environmental data analysis and interpretation;
  • Intermediate proficiency with environmental data management, compliance, and reporting tools;
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in GIS software, such as QGIS or ArcGIS;
  • Ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations and coordinate contributions from multidisciplinary specialists;
  • Strong written and verbal communication and reporting skills in English.
