Senior Wastewater and Water Treatment Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and optimize treatment processes for wastewater, leachate, and surface water systems;
• Interpret laboratory analytical data and environmental monitoring results to determine suitable treatment solutions and process optimization measures;
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of treatment systems and biological treatment processes;
• Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and monitoring documentation;
• Review environmental monitoring programs and sampling strategies;
• Participate in site visits, treatment plant assessments, and field investigations;
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and support environmental permitting processes when required.

What type of projects will you work with:
Projects related to wastewater treatment, leachate treatment, surface water treatment, industrial wastewater, environmental monitoring programs, and optimization of existing treatment facilities.

Our requirements:

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical field;
• 7+ years of experience within wastewater treatment, leachate treatment, and surface water treatment;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS) and environmental data analysis/reporting tools;
• Strong knowledge of treatment technologies and treatment processes for wastewater, surface water, and leachate;
• Hands-on involvement in troubleshooting and optimization of treatment systems and processes;
• Understanding of biological treatment processes, environmental assessments, interpretation of analytical data, and sampling strategies;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Good to have: PFAS and emerging contaminants, familiarity with chemical precipitation / activated carbon / membrane filtration and ion exchange technologies, background in landfill and leachate management projects.
